Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. These one of a kind cabins offer the adventurous spirit of a stay in a mountaintop fire lookout tower with all of the luxurious comforts Big Sky's most discerning guests have come to expect. The Beehive Basin View cabin is perched at the north end of the property with open views across its namesake-Beehive Basin. The upper level of this cabin is an open floor plan consisting of a gourmet kitchen, dining area, and living room. Please note that a four wheel drive vehicle with winter tires and winter driving experience is required for access during winter months. Additional bedding is available on the queen sleeper sofa in the loft, as well as two bunk twin beds in the bonus room. Gray Owl Retreat is an unforgettable 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with sweeping mountain views that sleeps 10. This retreat is nestled on 1 acre of land surrounded by 15 acres of green space, and is home to elk, foxes, and abundant wildlife.
