    About Innsbruck, Austria

If you’re all about options, then there’s nothing that can top an Innsbruck ski vacation. Internationally known as the “Capital of the Alps,” and a three-time host of the Winter Olympic Games—in 1964 and 1976 and the 2012 first Winter Youth Olympics—Innsbruck is one of the greatest ski cities in the world. This Tyrolean metropolis is surrounded by some of the best skiing in Austria. It’s truly a ski getaway like no other: a high alpine and urban experience all-rolled-into-one. It’s a premier destination for those who seek a broader European experience than simply skiing. Nestled into a narrow valley beneath rugged mountain peaks, Innsbruck offers Old-World beauty and culture, including museums, galleries, restaurants, nightlife and shopping. Other don’t-miss activities include sleigh rides, tobogganing and even an exhilarating ride on the Olympic Bobsled run. Stay in the city and sample its 13 ski resorts—which are part of the Ski Plus City Pass—to get an idea of which area fits your skiing and vacation preferences to a T.

    Outstanding. Organized. Convenient. Great.

I have traveled to this destination numerous times before with large ski clubs, and I find that I can get every service and accommodation through you for our group of 4, and at a better rate. Since I knew what to expect of the destination experience, I naturally knew that I would be comparing your services to my past visits. You have delivered and excelled in every way.

    Innsbruck for New Years

We had a terrific time in Innsbruck for New Years 2018. Despite the less than perfect snow conditions, we greatly enjoyed our stay. Our Mountain Vacation Specialist, Anthony Luczkow, was very helpful and gave us good insights into the region. We would have liked to have better instructions regarding the airport transfer and ski bus process but that hasn't stopped us from recommending both Innsbruck and Ski.com to our friends and family.

    Amazing City

Innsbruck was as amazing as we expected. City is clean and well run. lots of friendly people. Local transit is very organized, on time and easy to use. Restaurants were not overpriced as we thought but cheaper than planned. Tourist Office was very helpful. Every street has a view of the mountains that is amazing. never wanted to leave. :)

Many mountains to choose from; phenomenal scenery

Innsbruck is a great town to stay in, with historic and well maintained buildings, a good choice of hotels, restaurants and shops, and 5 or 6 mountains 30-45 minutes away.\n\nThe scenery is phenomenal and the skiing has lots of variety to keep you entertained regardless of your ability level. Legendary resorts like St Anton and Kitzbuhel are easily accessible. Plenty of options for non skiers - or for your day off - as well.\n\nNearby Germany is worth including in a trip; don't miss a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle, and consider spending a couple days in Munich.\n

So much to do and so little time

Innsbruck offers a variety of ski options all within a short distance from center city. We skied four different world class ski resorts in our one week visit there. There are also many other day trips available to great tourist destinations like Neuchwanstein Castle in Bavaria or Venice Italy. There is plenty of great shopping and sightseeing right in Innsbruck. We visited their Swarovski Crystal Museum and factory one day and enjoyed a Bavarian Dinner Show one evening all within minutes of our Hotel. Getting around town is a breeze and the ski bus transportation is free and very accessible. We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to going there again.
