    Located just 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Alberta, Marmot Basin flies under the radar, but offers 86 trails, 1,675 acres of Canadian Rocky Mountain terrain. In fact Marmot Basin ski resort even offers some runs that stretch up to 3.5 miles. Marmot Basin has received some upgrades of recent, including added terrain of the upper bowls, which has improved the skiing experience immensely.

    Marmot Basin ski resort has all the services skiers need: three lodges (one at the base village and two located mid-mountain), rental equipment, ski lessons, restaurant facilities, townsite bus service and a unique parking lot that allows you to ski to and from your vehicle. The area has three main lodge buildings with everything guests need for an enjoyable day on the mountain.

    Marmot often flies under the jet-setter radar but this expansive resort has just about something for everyone. It's a great place for learners, intermediates, and experts alike.

    Ski Marmot Basin

    Boasting the highest base village in Canada, Marmot Basin is a snow-sure winter destination. You can expect excellent snow conditions thanks to the resort's high elevation and cold, dry continental snow. Skiers and snowboarders are transported around Marmot Basin's 1,675 acres via seven lifts, including three high-speed quads.

    The terrain type ranges from gentle groomed runs to trees, moguls, alpine bowls and expert chutes. Beginner skiers will especially appreciate Marmot Basin because 30 percent of the terrain is marked as green or novice runs. If you're looking to learn to ski at a destination with gorgeous high-alpine views and few crowds, Marmot Basin is the ticket. Intermediate skiers can enjoy 20 percent of the terrain, while advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders can experience 40 percent of the the Marmot Basin ski terrain.

    Jibsters have two excellent terrain parks to practice their skills while visiting Marmot Basin. Rogers Terrain Park offers a progressive range of small, medium, large and extra large features as well as jumps, rails and boxes. The jibsMini Terrain Park offers aspiring jibbers small and medium features including rails and boxes.
