If you’re in the village and you’re in the mood for traditional cuisine head to Restaurant Le Barrilon at La Daille, or Le Lodge, which is renowned as having the best fondue in town.

    On-Mountain Val d’Isere Restaurants

    Discerning foodies and gourmets will think revel in the on-mountain Val d’Isere restaurant scene. The majority of the dining experience sway towards upmarket cuisine and wine, but you’re on vacation after all—splurge a little!
    • L’Edelweiss, located near Le Fornet area, is ideally situated near an accessible blue run and features incredible traditional chalet-style cuisine and other European favorites. Don’t miss the duck fois-gras burger if they’re serving it. Reservations are highly recommended. 
    • Le Signal, also located in Le Fornert,  offers incredible, traditional “Haute” cuisine, and offers an exceptional wine list. Reservations are recommended.
    • Located in the La Daille area, families and larger groups looking for a varied menu will want to head La Folie Douce, which offers self-service options, and La Fruitière, which provides sit-down dining. The restaurant features an unbeatable patio and transforms to the après-ski hot spot around 2 p.m.
