Steamboat Springs is located 180 miles from major hub Denver International Airport (DEN). DEN is a non-stop destination for more than 21 domestic and international airlines, so you can accomplish a Steamboat ski vacation from just about anywhere in the world. Once you’ve arrived at DEN, you can opt for shuttle services or rental cars.
If you’ve decided to make your own way to Steamboat and are traveling via rental car, you’ll want to head south out of the airport terminal and follow signs for I-70 W. Merge onto I-70 W and drive for nearly 78 miles. Take exit 205 onto CO-9 N/Blue River Parkway toward Silverthorne. Continue to follow CO-9 N for about 38 miles. Then turn left onto US-40 W/Park Avenue. Continue to follow US-40 for 52 miles. Then turn right onto 6th street. You’ve arrived at Steamboat Springs.
